MBSA offers 50 pct discount for compound payments during Ramadan

SHAH ALAM: The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) is offering a 50 per cent discount on compound payments made during the Ramadan month.
Its Corporate and Public Relations Division head Shahrin Ahmad, in a statement today, said the Compound Reduction Campaign was an initiative to assist and encourage the public to settle their compound arrears and avoid stern action.
He said the 50 per cent discount was applicable for offences under the Hairdressers Bylaw 1983, Small Parks ByLaw (MBSA) 2005, Vandalism Bylaw (MBSA) 2005, Food Establishments Bylaw (MBSA) 2007, Food Handlers Bylaw (MBSA) 2007, Advertisement Bylaw (MBSA) 2007, Hawkers Bylaw (MBSA) 2007 and Small Markets Bylaw (MBSA) 2007.
A reduction of up to RM30 will be given to parking compounds issued under the MBSA Road Transport Order 2007 for payments made at MBSA counters, he said.

The public can also settle their fines at the Main Counter, Wisma MBSA, Persiaran Perbandaran, Seksyen 14, Shah Alam or the council's branch offices in Sungai Buloh, Kota Kemuning and Setia Alam.
