The Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) denied that it had blocked Netizens from accessing the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) article on kangkung or water spinach.
Apparently, TM broadband users were unable to access the report titled “#BBCtrending: Be careful what you say about spinach”.
MCMC corporate communication chief Sheikh Raffie Abdul Rahman told the MalayMailOnline that the MCMC did not block Netizens from accessing the article.
Meanwhile, TM corporate communication assistant manager Asma Abdul Aziz said they are investigating the matter and that a statement will be issued later once investigation is concluded.
Meanwhile, checks by Astro AWANI on Thursday found that Netizens had no problems in accessing the BBC’s report.
Lowyat.NET had also updated the information on its website while its Twitter account clarified that the article can be accessed.
On Wednesday, thousands of Netizens were disappointed when they were unable to view and access the article published in the BBC website.
