MCMC tracking down individuals believed to have insulted the Royal Institution
MCMC: We urge the public to step forward and call 03-8688 800 with any information which can help the MCMC.
The Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is tracking down the individuals believed to have insulted the Royal Institution on social media, especially in regards to the recent passing of His Royal Highness the late Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah.
MCMC chairman, Datuk Mohamed Sharil Tarmizi said that they are taking this matter seriously.
“MCMC will take appropriate action according to the law under the 1998 Communication and Multimedia Act.
“We urge the public to step forward and call 03-8688 800 with any information which can help the MCMC," added Datuk Sharil.
The late Sultan Azlan Shah, 86 , passed away at 1.3pm on Wednesday and his remains was buried at the Royal Mausoleum in Kuala Kangsar on Thursday.
