The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) arrested another 683 individuals for violating the Movement Control Order (MCO) on Wednesday.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the number showed an increase compared to the previous day's arrests of 643 people.
He said of the number, 598 individuals were remanded while 85 released on police bail.
"A total of 579 individuals have been indicted in court for violating the MCO.
"The total number of cumulative arrests of the MCO by April 30 is 22,432 individuals," he said at a press conference here today.
In the meantime, Ismail Sabri said 828 roadblocks were conducted across the country on Wednesday, with 633,821 vehicles inspected.
"A total of 40,601 surprise inspections were also carried out nationwide with 6,203 premises being inspected by the authorities," he said.
