MCO: Another 949 issued with RM1,000 compound, 503 remanded, 19 allowed bail

The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) arrested 1,471 individuals for violating the Movement Control Order (MCO) yesterday.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said out of the total, 949 individuals were issued a compound of RM1,000 each, 503 were remanded and 19 released on police bail.
"Yesterday, a total of 51 individuals were indicted in court for disobeying the MCO. The total number of cumulative arrests of the MCO by April 12 ,2020, was 8,647 individuals and the total number of compounds was 3,105," he said at a press conference here Monday.
On the same day, PDRM with the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) conducted 784 roadblocks nationwide and inspected 358,593 vehicles.
"A total of 35,825 surprise inspections have been conducted nationwide with 5,275 premises being checked by the authorities," he said.
