MCO: Self-proclaimed hero who conned police identified
Ismail Sabri said the action of the individual who shared the post on social media site had only facilitated police work as it could be regarded as a preliminary admission.
Police have identified the identity of a family who travelled long distance for dubious reasons during the Movement Control Order (MCO) and posted the act on social media sites.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, said there was nothing to be proud of if he could deceive the authorities and escaped the roadblocks.
“Yesterday (Thursday) we saw on social media, a family member showed that they had returned to Kuala Lumpur and had given tips to the public on how to deceive the police.
"I want to say, I want to remind... don't be proud when you commit an offence and influence others to follow (doing the same). Police have identified them and action will be taken,” he said.
Ismail Sabri said the action of the individual who shared the post on social media site had only facilitated police work as it could be regarded as a preliminary admission.
“And for sure his actions would hurt him and his family,” he added.
