Mecca crane tragedy: Three more Malaysian haj pilgrims confirmed dead - Jamil Khir

JAMIL KHIR: Identification of the remains were based on the images and identification of bodies in the morgue.
Three more bodies of Malaysian haj pilgrims have been identified by the authorities as among the 107 victims killed in the crane collapse tragedy at the Grand Mosque, Mecca, on Friday.
The victims are Siti Nuroshlizan Zulkifli, 37 from Tanah Merah, Kelantan; Rohana Ismail, 54 from Kuala Krai, Kelantan; and Munah Jusoh, 73 from Cherang Ruku, Kelantan.
The matter was confirmed by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom in a press conference at TH Hotel, 11.50pm, Sunday.
"Identification of the remains were based on the images and identification of bodies in the morgue," he said.
Meanwhile, Jamil Khir said that Abdul Muluk Ishak, who was also among the eight Malaysians reported missing earlier, was confirmed safe.
He said Abdul Muluk from Pantai Remis, Perak was actually nowhere near the Grand Mosque when the tragedy happened. Instead, he was at a hostel for Thai Haj pilgrims.
Earlier, the body of Rusiah Suar, 56 from Sungkai, Perak was confirmed to be the first Malaysian identified by the authorities perished in the tragedy.
On Saturday, eight Malaysians have been declared missing in the crane collapse tragedy at the Grand Mosque, Mecca, Friday, Malaysian haj delegation chief Datuk Syed Saleh Syed Abdul Rahman.
However, based on the latest development, this leaves Abdul Habib Lahman, 68 from Sik, Kedah; Shahidan Saad, 52 from Kodiang, Kedah; Zainun Taha,69 from Ampang, Selangor still missing.
