The media has been barred from covering the tabling of the Auditor-General's final audit report on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in Parliament today.
Journalists were not allowed entry through the main gate into the Parliament complex here.
The tabling of the report was originally scheduled for February 24 and 25, but had to be postponed because several PAC members were abroad to meet commitments or to perform the 'umrah' (minor Haj).
When announcing the postponement last month, PAC chairman Datuk Hasan Arifin said it was giving priority to the tabling of the report, and subsequently completing the PAC report, in a transparent and just manner in Parliament.
On February 11, media members were not allowed to enter Parliament when the PAC was holding its final proceedings on 1MDB.
The PAC began its probe into the 1MDB issue in May last year.
