A medical assistant was charged at the Muar Magistrate's Court today with murdering a religious school clerk in Bukit Pasir, Sungai Terap here, last month.
The accused, Zurailie Muhamad, 30, nodded to the charge before Magistrate Mohd Syafiq Mustaza but no plea was recorded.
The accused was charged with murdering Nurul Shahira Mohamed Yatim, 29, also his neighbour, in her house at No 85, Taman Setia Kasih, Jalan Sungai Terap here on Nov 16 between 2.05pm and 2.30pm.
The court set Jan 5 for re-mention.
Deputy public prosecutor Sharmini Arjunan appeared for the prosecution while the accused was not represented.
