Meet The New Face Of Louis Vuitton
Xavier Dolan, often described as Quebec’s boy wonder of cinema started out at a young age of 20 with his directorial debut in 2009, I Killed My Mother and in 2014 he released a new movie called Mommy which won the Jury Prize at last year’s Cannes Film Festival. A true idealistic director with big dreams, Dolan is deeply committed to his art and shares his sense of courage with Louis Vuitton Man as well as his strong aptitude for design and style.
His films have garnered a fan base of film enthusiasts and art house devotees who appreciate his slightly more avant garde, stylistic approach to filmmaking. It isn’t any wonder that Louis Vuitton jumped at the chance to have this visionary, stylish and talented man front their campaign.
Dolan is also the first openly gay actor and film director that Louis Vuitton has chosen as the new face of its Fall/Winter 2015 advertising campaign. The fashionable images were shot by photographer Alasdair McLellan and focus on Ombré, Louis Vuitton’s latest line of leather goods, featuring two iconic bags –- the Keepall and the Porte-Documents Voyage Bandoulière.
Now at only 26, Dolan was selected to be on 2015 Cannes Film Festival jury this summer, becoming the youngest member in history. His following movie, entitled Just The End Of The World, will star Marion Cotillard, Léa Seydoux, Vincent Cassel, Gaspard Ulliel, and Nathalie Baye, his most aspiring billing yet.
