Melaka Chief Minister Idris Haron in minor car accident

Melaka chief minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron's car was involved in a minor accident at KM268 of the North South Expressway, near the Seremban R&R, at about 6.50pm Friday.

Idris when contacted confirmed the incident.

Thankful that it was a minor accident, Idris said he, his driver and his personal bodyguard were unhurt.

He said he was on his way to Melaka to attend a dinner in honour of Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob's appointment as the Yang Dipertua Negeri Melaka for the fourth term, when the accident took place.

He said his Mercedes S400 car was on the speed lane when suddenly another car entered their lane without giving any signal.

"My driver could not avoid the car and knocked into the rear of the other car," he said.

He said his driver had lodged a police report on the accident at the Seremban traffic police station.
