KUALA LUMPUR: Mercy Malaysia is calling for medical volunteers to help their team in Sabah with COVID-19 mass testing and treatment in different locations around the state.
The volunteer relief organisation said in a statement that doctors, nurses, medical officers, medical assistants, lab technicians, radiographers and specialists in internal medicine, anaesthesia or emergency medicine are urgently needed.
The organisation hopes to send teams every week until December, with each team on duty for two weeks (at a time).
"To facilitate the process, Mercy Malaysia will support the cost of quarantine by providing accommodation and meals for two weeks upon the volunteer's return from Sabah," it said.
Mercy Malaysia currently has a team of eight volunteers based in Kota Kinabalu, while a team of three will be deployed from the peninsula next week.
