MH370: Australian Navy aircraft detects another signal - JACC

Another signal was detected by an Australian navy aircraft, the P3-Orion, in the same search area of the black box for Malaysia Airlines (MAS) MH370 flight which disappeared since March 8.

Chief Coordinator of the Joint Agency Coordination Centre, Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston (Ret'd) said that the possible signal was received in in the vicinity of the Australian Defence Vessel Ocean Shield.

“The acoustic data will require further analysis overnight but shows potential of being from a man-made source.

“I will provide a further update if, and when, further information becomes available,” stated Angus in a statement released, today.
