MH370: DCA deny objects washed ashore is connected to missing flight
All the objects traced by aircrafts and ferried by ships to date has no connection to the missing Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370.
This was said by Director of the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA), Datuk Azharuddin Abdul Rahman during a press conference held at the Royal Bintang Hotel on Wednesday.
“We have not received any photos from the Joint Agency Coordination Centre (JACC),” said Azharuddin.
In a statement issued by JACC on Wednesday, the Western Australia Police were investigating unidentified materials washed ashore 10 kilometres east of Augusta.
It also stated that the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) was examining the photographs of the material to determine whether further physical analysis were required and if there were any relevance to the missing MH370.
JACC informed that ATSB had provided the photographs to the Malaysian investigation team. The underwater search is still ongoing with 10 military aircrafts and 12 ships deployed.
