MH370: 'Don't quit' Malaysians tell Ahmad Jauhari

Malaysians are overwhelmingly in support of Ahmad Jauhari Yahya staying on as the CEO of Malaysia Airlines, going what is being said online.
A large majority of comments being said on social media expressed that Ahmad Jauhari should not resign in this time of crisis for the national carrier.
Many saluted and thanked Ahmad Jauhari for his work, saying that they both respected and was proud of him.
“You have my respect sir #ahmadjauhari. you face every fear and rise. May Allah bless and show us the way,” wrote one Sabariah Nordin.
On Astro AWANI’s Facebook page, one “Fo Fo Wanshu wanmo” wrote in Malay: “This is under the scope of duty of AJ. Because he feels responsible that’s why he is still holding on to his position. When things are settled then only he will consider resigning. Not becoming a coward by running away when there is trouble”.
“I don't understand why ppl of m'sia n the world r blaming him for everything single incident!!! Why???” wrote Sherryl Rahman on Facebook.
Another commenter, Zalea Zie Zamin Shah, wrote that if Ahmad Jauhari, or also known as AJ, were to resign, all others connected to the flight should follow suit.
Using the Malay proverb ‘berat sama dipikul dan ringan sama dijinjing’ about shared responsibilities regardless of how heavy or light, Zalae Zie wrote: “Don’t just make MAS the only one responsible,” said
“Hang in there, AJ. We’re all behind you in this. If it was proven that MAS was negligent in this incident… then only resign. But so far we know that MAS followed standards and procedures. So Captain AJ, you stay put and do what you have to do, okay?”
On the Astro AWANI page and twitter, only a handful of comments expressed support for the call for Ahmad Jauhari to quit.
“To revive MAS image in the eyes of the world. He should resign or else when there is another accident or financial losses, he will be made sacrificial lamb,” wrote one Mohamad Zizul on Facebook.
Since MH370 went missing on March 8, there have been a few quarters who have asked for Ahmad Jauhari to resign, criticizing the handling of the matter by MAS.
This call was not new, as Ahmad Jauhari has been blamed for the continuing financial losses that MAS was suffering from.
In February, MAS announced a RM1.17 billion loss for 2013.
Today, a Kinibiz report, quoting industry sources, suggested that Ahmad Jauhari’s contract will not be extended beyond its original three year term when it expires in September 2014.
