Search operations missing Malaysia Airlines jetliner, MH370 can be done faster and safer following calm weather conditions at the southern Indian Ocean.
Transport Minister, Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the conditions of the sea worked to the advantage of the vessels scouring the Indian Ocean to find the remains of the missing airplane, to widen the search.
He is optimistic that the search vessels were searching in the accurate place, with hopes remaining that the jetliner will soon be found.
“We are confident that the search mission is done at the accurate location … and we will be able to find it soon,” said Liow, at a Press conference after distributing appreciation packs to Electric Train Services (ETS) in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration at KL Sentral, Friday.
Liow also added that the Transport Minister along with Australia and China are focused on the search of the jetliner. Malaysia along with the two countries are highly-committed in their effort to retrieve the jetliner.
At present, the multinational hunt for the search includes from China, which started deploying its vessel on February 1.
MH370, carrying 239 people, including 154 Chinese, vanished on March 8, 2014 en route to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur.
