MH370: Fremantle Port ready to receive aircraft related objects
The Fremantle Port is ready to offer their services if and when they are asked to by the Australian Maritime Security Authority (AMSA) with regards to the objects found in the southern Indian Ocean that could be from flight MH370. "We have yet to receive a request, but we are willing to offer whatever we can to assist in receiving these objects," said Ainslie de Vos, spokeperson for Fremantle Port. Fremantle Port is the nearest port on the coast of Western Australia to the search area in the southern Indian Ocean. It is also in the vicinity of Perth and the RAAF Base Pearce where the coordination of the operations is being done. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak announced on Monday night that all data in hand shows that flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean. Twelve planes from six countries departed from Perth Wednesday to continue with the search or MH370. The countries involved include Australia, New Zealand, US, Japan, China and Republic of Korea.
