MH370: MAS remains commited in aiding NOKs in Beijing

Following the closure of Malaysia Airlines flight, MH370’s Family Communication and Support Centre (FCSC) in Beijing and six other provinces in China yesterday, MAS has reiterated its absolute commitment to assist passengers' next-of-kin (NOKs) there.

“As have been communicated to the family members, MAS will continue to provide information and maintain communication with the NOKs via several platforms," said MAS in a statement issued on Tuesday.

“We have established dedicated hotline numbers and email address for the NOKs to contact MAS for queries on general and compensation matters.

“Regular updates will also be available on the official website of MH370 via http://www.mh370.gov.my,” the airline said in a statement today.

Six branches of the support centre in Beijing and Tianjin covering Hebei, Henan, Shandong and Jiangsu provinces ceased operations as MAS will continue to explore available avenues to reach out to the families.

The centre was reportedly set up on May 4, last year for the families of the 152 Chinese nationals on board the ill-fated flight, which had mysteriously disappeared since March 8.
