Mid Valley Megamall to resume operations on 18 May

KUALA LUMPUR : The Mid Valley City management has announced that all offices, hotels, and shops situated within the premises will resume operations as usual on Thursday, 18 May 2023.
Following a thorough investigation conducted by Tenaga Nasional Berhad and the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department, the management informed that they have received clearance from the relevant authorities concerning the safe reopening of the premises.
It was earlier announced that Mid Valley Megamall shopping center will be closed temporarily due to a fire that occurred at the Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) substation in the complex on Wednesday morning.
In a statement, Mid Valley management confirmed the incident.
"As of 11:38 am, we can confirm that no injuries or fatalities have been reported. The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department is currently on site conducting all necessary investigations," the statement said.
