At first glance, it looked like a military truck, with a grey-camouflage body complete with a 'rocket launcher' attached on the roof.
But upon closer inspection by the Cyberjaya Crime Prevention Patrol (RCJ), it was actually a food truck of a local café, customised to look like a military vehicle.
Following a public tip-off, the RCJ seized the vehicle at Jalan Semarak Api near the Multimedia University in Cyberjaya around noon yesterday, a police statement today said.
Two local men who were in the vehicle were also detained.
Initial investigations showed that the vehicle was purchased via tender by the café owner and modified as a gimmick to promote the business. The necessary documents had been furnished as well.
After their statements were recorded at the Cyberjaya police station, the duo were released on police bail.
The vehicle, however, was being kept at the Sepang district police headquarters.
The case is being investigated under Section 170 of the Penal Code under 'personating a public servant'.
