The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry plans to set up a think tank made up of eminent personalities, those with expertise in specific fields and experts to help strengthen its role. Its minister, Datuk Hasan Malek said the ministry welcomed those who were interested join the think tank which would provide advice, ideas and proposals. "The think thank will focus on specific issues related to domestic trade, cooperatives and consumerism," he told reporters after the ministry's monthly assembly here today. Meanwhile, he said a lab session to discuss the recent diesel quandary would be held with the cooperation of the Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu) soon. He said the ministry would launch working from home initiative in October under the auspices of the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO). "This pilot project could create a balanced environment between career and family obligation without compromising on productivity," he said.
