There have been tons of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice trailers and teasers that we’ve started to lose count and this is allegedly the last one. Here’s all you need to know about Gal Gadot, the brunette knockout starring alongside cast mates Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman), and Amy Adams (Lois Lane) in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Being a kid from a small-town in Israel, she first dreamed of being a choreographer then started studying law. Life took an unexpected turn when a pageant scout convinced her to compete in the 2004 Miss Israel contest which she won, launching her modeling career. Stardom took a backseat for Gadot after the pageant, as she left a high-profile life to serve two years in the Israeli army (which is) required of all Israelis. Her Hollywood career started after she was cast as Gisele in Fast & Furious, whose casting director was the same from Quantum of Solace, a movie Gadot had a bit part in. After Batman vs Superman she’ll star in next year’s Wonder Woman, followed by two more spin-offs scheduled through 2019.

She is bringing the comic-book Amazonian princess to life and couldn’t be more perfect for the role. For Batman V Superman, Gadot felt it was imperative for her character to show how independent she is, by not depending on a man and that she’s not there because of a love story or to serve someone else. That’s what we call Girl Power!
