Mitsubishi "Knights" the Triton

It’s angrier, sportier and statelier all at the same time here is the Mitsubishi Triton Knight. It’s not a new variant but a special edition limited to only 120 units and finished only in Pearl White. The Triton Knight comes with a number of accessories to give it that fierce sporty presence that befits its name.

What extra accessories has Mitsubishi added to make the Triton Knight special? Well for starters the 17-inch wheel rims now come in matte black, you also get a matte black grille and matte black rear bumper decorates the front and back to match with the rims.

There is also a front bumper extender added to the truck while the sides are stickered with exclusive Knight Body stickers. Open the doors and Triton Knight greets you with Knight Embroidery leather seats.

Underneath it all though, is a Triton VGT Adventure variant with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with an intercooled Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT). The turbo-diesel common rail system produces 239bhp at 4000rpm and 400Nm of torque at 2000rpm and is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission with Sport Mode.

You get the Easy Select 4WD system that Mitsubishi has been improving throughout the pass 20 years to allow the truck to handle high torque levels. Safety features such as ABS with EBD, dual SRS airbags, a collapsible steering column and anti-intrusion brake pedal and more comes standard for the Triton Knight.

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia stickered the Triton Knight with a RM122,487.84 price tag (on-the-road sans GST) and packaged the truck with a two-year Free Maintenance package with a choice of RM2000 worth of cash rebates or free labour with RM4000 cash rebates. The truck is also covered by a factory warranty of three years or the first 100,000km.
