Mitsubishi releases a Phantom

I’m sure by now everyone of you have already witnessed Leona Chin pranking a bunch of Mitsubishi customers with the Triton. While this Content Producer is still busy applauding the lady’s performance, let’s get to know the brand new Mitsubishi Triton Phantom.

The Triton Phantom is limited to only 200 units and is the sportier version of the standard Mitsubishi Triton. The Phantom wears 17-inch matte black alloy rims and comes decorated with matte black grille along with a sports bar with full box and matte black rear bumper to match the black-only paintjob.

To elevate the full black, the Triton will be decorated with Phantom body stickers and decals so it is easy to differentiate the Phantom from the standard variants. Other accessories on the outside includes a front-bumper extender and Xenon HID Headlamps with DRLs. On the inside, you get seats covered in exclusive Phantom black leather seats.

Keyless operations with push-start button and paddle shifters comes as standard on the Triton Phantom along with 4WD selector, touch screen audio system with reverse camera, auto headlamps and wipers and dual zone climate control.

A 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with an intercooled Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT) powers the Triton Phantom produces 175bhp at 4000rpm and 400Nm of torque at 2000rpm. That turbo diesel engine is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission with Sport mode coupled to Mitsubishi’s Easy Select 4WD system.

The Triton Phantom also comes with all safety features that the standard Mitsubishi Phantom like dual-SRS airbags and a collapsible steering column and anti-intrusion brake pedal along with the standard ABS and EBD.

Mitsubishi is importing the Triton Phantom CBU from Thailand priced at RM115,680.76 on-the-road without insurance complete with two years of free maintenance. There is also a special RM2000 cash rebate or free labour with RM4000 cash rebate on offer when you purchase the Mitsubishi Tritom Phantom.
