MKN: 24 localities in two states under EMCO from Aug 25

KUALA LUMPUR: Twenty-three localities in Sabah and one in Pahang will be placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO), from Wednesday (Aug 25) to Sept 7.
National Security Council (MKN) director-general Datuk Rodzi Md Saad, said the EMCO in Sabah involves Kampung Cenderamata 2 and Kampung Cempaka, Likas; Kampung Inanam Laut; Kampung Bambangan, Inanam; Kampung Kelingau; Kampung Lapasan and Taman Kuala Menggatal in Kota Kinabalu.
Four localities in Penampang are Delta Height; Kampung Sindaanan; Rainfield Garden and Maju Kota Lights Industry in Jalan Lama Penampang, as well as four others in Tawau involving Kampung Tanjung Batu Tengah; Taman Ranggu Saujana; Kampung Sungai Tamang in Pulau Sebatik and Tanjung Batu Laut, Logpon will also be placed under the EMCO.
He said other localities in Sabah are Kampung Pelangi, Kampung Seri Manis and Ladang Sungai Pin in Kinabatangan; Felda Sahabat 55 estate housing and Taman Perumahan Satu in Lahad Datu; Taman Limauan, Kinarut and Kampung Mondikot in Papar; Ladang Mawang in Kalabakan and Mengayam Sri Arjuna sawmill in Sipitang.
"One locality in Pahang that will be placed under the EMCO is Felda Kota Gelanggi 2 in Jerantut," he said in a statement today.
Meanwhile, Rodzi said the EMCO in Kampung Temalian, Mukim Ulu Dong in Raub, Pahang which was scheduled to end tomorrow, has been extended until Aug 31, while the EMCO in Taman Kinarut Ria in Papar, and Kampung Kota Tuaran in Tuaran, Sabah would be extended until Sept 7.
He added that the EMCO in 22 localities in the Orang Asli settlements in Batang Padang district, Perak has also been extended until Sept 7, including Kampung Senta, Kampung Chang and Kampung Sanding in Mukim Bidor and Kampung Orang Asli Menderang in Mukim Sungkai.
Another 18 localities are in Mukim Batang Padang, namely, Kampung Orang Asli in Batu 6, Kampung Orang Asli Batu 14, Kampung Orang Asli Batu 16, Kampung Orang Asli Batu 17, Kampung Orang Asli Batu 18, and Kampung Orang Asli Batu 19, Kampung Kenderong, Kampung Sungai Rensa, Kampung Sungai Chendon, Kampung Sungai Odak, Kampung Ampangan and Kampung Pos Woh.
The EMCO in Kampung Orang Asli Batu 7 and Batu 7 1/2, Kampung Sungai Bot Dalam, Kampung Sungai Bot Luar, Kampung Sungai Tidong, Kampung Lubuk Gaharu and Kampung Woh Intake has also been extended until Sept 7.
Meanwhile, the EMCO in 10 localities will end tomorrow, involving the Palmlyn Estate workers' quarters in Mukah, Sarawak; IBN Highland construction site in Genting Highlands, Pahang; Taman Sri Bayu, Tumpat, Kelantan and Taman Meru 2B in Kinta, Perak.
The EMCO in six localities in Sabah, namely, Taman Sri Balung People's Housing Project (PPR) and the Taman Sri Titingan PPR in Tawau; Camp 2 Tolokoson, Tenom; Kampung Sarikan, Nabawan and Kampung Lapasan and Kampung Timbok in Tuaran will also be lifted tomorrow.
