Moderate earthquake hits southeast of Honshu, Japan
The Malaysian Meteorological Department in a statement said the quake's epicenter was 734km Southeast of Yokosuka, Japan, and 3717km Northeast of Sandakan, Sabah.- File picture
A moderate earthquake measuring 5.3 on Richter scale occurred in Southeast of Honshu, Japan at 07.58 am today.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department in a statement said the quake's epicenter was 734km Southeast of Yokosuka, Japan, and 3717km Northeast of Sandakan, Sabah.
The quake did not pose any tsunami threat, it added.-- BERNAMA
