MOE allocation passed by majority vote at committee stage

KUALA LUMPUR:The Supply (Budget) Bill 2021 for the Ministry of Education (MOE) was passed at the committee stage in the Dewan Rakyat, today.
This was announced by Dewan Rakyat Deputy Speaker, Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon, with the support of the majority of Members of Parliament without going through the bloc voting process.
MOE receives the largest allocation of RM50.4 billion covering 15.6 per cent of total government expenditure under the 2021 Budget.
With the passage of the allocation, the budget of a total of 26 ministries have received approval at the committee stage in the Dewan Rakyat.
