The Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) is considering some relaxation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) including allowing exercise activities that are not closely linked.
Nonetheless, Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah has advised the public to adhere to the guidelines set by the MOH including social distancing.
"Exercise activity is part of the SOP (standard operating procedure) and we are considering sports that do not have close contact.
"However, it is subject to compliance with the guidelines including social distancing and no public gatherings," he told a press conference here on Wednesday.
Dr Noor Hisham added that announcements on the matter would be made in the near future.
Meanwhile, he said there were only two areas of the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) that saw an increase in cases as of 12 noon on Wednesday.
The two areas, City One Tower in Jalan Munshi Abdullah registered one additional case to 55 in total while Pusat Bandar Utara and around the Kuala Lumpur Wholesale Market registered five cases.
Other EMCO areas, he said, remain without new cases.
