Monitoring of Malay Reserve Land management in Pahang unsatisfactory
The audit was conducted between Nov 2013 until February this year in the Jerantut, Maran, Kuantan and Temerloh districts.
The monitoring of the management of Malay Reserve Land (TRM) in Pahang was unsatisfactory as specific discussion on it were not held in meetings at the District Land Offices.
The 2nd Series of the Auditor-General's Report 2013, which was presented in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday, revealed that as of Dec 31 last year, 78.1 percent of the land were not gazetted in four districts in the state and 13 cancellation cases were also not gazetted.
The audit was conducted between Nov 2013 until February this year in the Jerantut, Maran, Kuantan and Temerloh districts.
It also found that the records for the monitoring of TRM were unsatisfactory.
The National Audit Department also recommended that the Land and Mines Department and the District Land Offices undertake improvement measures to create a monitoring mechanism.
