More than 27,000 Standard One pupils to begin 2016 school session in Kelantan today

A total of 27,544 standard one pupils in Kelantan will begin their school session today.

Kelantan Education Department director Datuk Ab Aziz Abdullah said they would be located in 418 primary schools throughout the state.

"The total of primary school pupils in Kelantan comprising standard one to standard six for 2016 school sessions is 172,847," he told Bernama when contacted Saturday.

Ab Aziz said another 114,010 secondary school students Form one to Form Six would also begin their school session today at 592 schools in the state.

"All schools under the Education Ministry will start their school session at 7.40am except schools under the Kelantan Islamic Foundation (YIK) which starts at 8am, as announced by the state government recently," he said.
