The flood situation in Terengganu, Kelantan and Pahang worsened this morning with more than 6,000 victims evacuated.

A total of 2,594 victims have been placed in evacuation centres in Terengganu compared to 1,301 victims last night, while 1,963 victims have been moved compared to about 1,000 today in Kelantan, according to the state government's official portal.

According to the National Security Council‘s portal, there were 1,743 flood victims today compared to 915 victims in Pahang yesterday. Flood victims in Johor this morning remains at 16 people.

Kuala Kerai in Kelantan have the largest number of victims that have been removed which is 907, followed by the Tanah Merah (314), Kota Bharu (295), Pasir Puteh (225), Pasir Mas (116), Machang (100) and Tumpat (six).
Water levels at Sungai Kelantan (at the Guillemard Bridge), Tanah Merah, Sungai Golok in Jenob and Rantau Panjang are still above the danger levels despite the water levels having subsided slightly as there was no downpour in those areas last night.

However, readings at other major rivers are still within the warning levels.

No major roads have been reported to be closed to vehicles and there are no reports of casualties thus far. The present weather in Kelantan is reported to be cloudy.

In Terengganu, the most number of victims was transferred in Besut involving 1,096 people followed by Setiu (461), Dungun (317), Kemaman (251), Marang (224), Hulu Terengganu (154) and Kuala Terengganu (91).

Kemaman was the last district that was flooded yesterday because of the low-lying areas.
A total of 52 evacuation centres are now open throughout Terengganu.

Meanwhile, the road from Kuala Terengganu to Kota Bharu at 78.5km near Kampung Guntong Luar in Setiu is closed to light vehicles after being submerged with water.
Bandar Permaisuri was under water and is also closed to light vehicles.

Jerangau-Jabor road in front of the JPJ weight-station Bukit Besi, Dungun is closed to all vehicles due to the flooding.
