More than 60,000 1Malaysia commuter cards issued

More than 60,000 users of the KTM Komuter service have obtained the 1Malaysia commuter cards which entitle them to receive a 50 per cent fare discount for a one year period from Nov 1 this year until Oct 31 next year.

The cards are sold through 20 special counters at 13 KTM Komuter stations from Oct 22 until today.

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB), in a statement issued here today, said registration and sale of the cards would be available at six locations from Thursday.

They are the Seremban, Rawang, Shah Alam, Serdang, KL Sentral and Tanjung Malim stations, it said.

The 50 per cent discount on the KTM Komuter ticket is offered to Malaysians with a monthly income of RM3,000 and below.
