Student killed in fall from Ipoh shopping mall rooftop
A 16-year-old male student was killed after fell from a rooftop of a shopping complex here this afternoon.
Ipoh District chief police, Assistant Commissioner Sum Chang Keong said in the 12noon incident, the Form Five student was found dressed in his school uniform.
PKR decides not to contest in Tanjung Datu by-election
The Sarawak PKR decided not to stand in the upcoming Tanjung Datu by-election next month, citing the reason as to focus its attention on the 14th General Election (GE14).
Its chairman Baru Bian said the decision was also as a gesture of giving the state government the chance to carry on and implement all the promises made by the late Tan Sri Adenan Satem.

President Donald Trump on Wednesday ordered construction of a U.S.-Mexican border wall and punishment for cities shielding illegal immigrants while mulling restoring a CIA secret detention programme as he launched broad but divisive plans to reshape U.S. immigration and national security policy.
A draft executive order seen by Reuters that Trump is expected to sign in the coming days would block the entry of refugees from war-torn Syria and suspend the entry of any immigrants from Muslim-majority Middle Eastern and African countries Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, Iran, Libya and Yemen while permanent rules are studied.
Bolt loses relay gold after Jamaica's Carter tests positive
Jamaica's Usain Bolt has lost one of his nine Olympic gold medals and his perfect triple treble of Games' sprint victories after team mate Nesta Carter was found guilty of doping at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Carter was found in re-tests of his sample to have taken the banned stimulant methylhexaneamine, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) said on Wednesday, meaning Jamaica's 4x100 metres relay team must give back their gold medals.
