Most roads in KL closed since morning
BACK TO NORMAL: Traffic is smooth in and around Puduraya at 2.30pm.
Most roads in Kuala Lumpur were closed and diverted in stages beginning 9.45am.
The routes were closed due to the increasing number of participants for the Himpunan Kebangkitan Rakyat or also known as the Himpunan Shamsidar, organised by the opposition.
Kuala Lumpur traffic chief ACP Rusli Mohd Noor informed the roads were closed or diverted in stages based on instructions from higher authorities.
Among the affected roads include :-
1. Seremban - KL / Jalan Istana Baru 2. Jalan Sungai Besi / Susur Bulatan Sungai Besi Dari Arah Seremban - KL 3. Bulatan Sungai Besi 4. Jalan Sungai Besi / Bulatan Pudu 5. Bulatan Pudu / Jalan Pudu 6. Bulatan Pudu / Jalan Pasar 7. Jalan Kajang / Bulatan Sungai Besi 8. Chan Sow Lin / Jalan Tun Razak 9. Cochrane / Jalan Tun Razak (Jalan Pasar) 10. Jalan Tun Razak / Kondo Ezora
The social media was buzzing with alternative routes after the announcement was made earlier today.
Nevertheless, a quick check on Twitter - namely @kltrafficupdate and @kltraffic - saw most of the latest tweets reporting smooth traffic within the city.
