Mother dies while sending kids to school

A woman was found dead in her car early Tuesday at Kampung Simpang Empat Cherang in Kota Bharu, Kelantan.

The police believe 45-year-old Mazlina Mohamed died while in the midst of sending her children to school.

Mazlina's body was found by passers-by at around 7.15am.

Also in the car were two of Mazlina's three children, 15-year-old Nurul Hasyahawani and 10-year-old Nurul Aqlami Aulia.

According to Kota Bharu district police chief ACP Ismail Mat Sidek, it is believed that Mazlina managed to drop off her eldest child to school - Form Six student Nurul Haifa Husna - before she died suddenly.

The body was sent to the Raja Perempuan Zainab 2 Hospital for post-mortem.
