Mother of missing child thankful daughter found safe

The mother of a girl who was reported missing in Rawang, Selangor, Wan Aisyah Wan Exzam, expressed her gratitude to all parties for finding her daughter.
Arbaiyah Md Zin, in her 30's, arrived with a man believed to be her former husband, hugged her daughter after arriving at the Sungai Nibong police station at about 4.40pm.
She was at the police station for about two hours during which police recorded her statement before being allowed to return home.
"Thank you all for finding my daughter," she told reporters on Monday.
The mathematics teacher at a secondary school in Rawang was seen leaving the police station in hurry and declined to comment further when asked by reporters.
Wan Aisyah was reported missing on Aug 2 after Arbaiyah handed over the three-year-old child to her boyfriend at a supermarket in Rawang on July 30 before the suspect disappeared.
It was learnt they got acquainted on Facebook in May this year and planned to get married after the Aidilfitri celebration.
Earlier at 11.30am, the child was handed over to the police by a woman who introduced herself as the mother of the man who allegedly run away with the girl.
Meanwhile Penang CID chief SAC Mazlan Kesah said police were seeking the cooperation of Selangor police to track down the suspect Shahrizal Yusof, 44, who was still on the loose.
