"Now I can only pray that my daughter will be found safe," said Zamhani Zakaria, the mother of a woman who went missing in Madinah during an umrah (minor haj) trip.
According to her, the last time she met her daughter Nor Azimah Ibrahim, 31, was on Dec 19.
"Nor Azimah was unwell on that day, after nine days we were in the holy land of Makkah and Madinah.
"We (me and my husband) promised to meet (Nor Azimah) in the Prophet's Mosque after returning from a ziarah (visiting holy places) programme at noon, but Azimah did not turn up," she told Bernama here today.
Zamhani said she and her husband Ibrahim Abdul Rahman, 54, had also given all the information on their missing daughter to the Saudi authorities.
"My husband is still there to help the Saudi authorities in tracking down Azimah, but until now there is still no news," she said.
Zamhani, 52, who arrived in the country on Dec 23, said she, her husband and Nor Azimah went to the holy land for the Umrah on Dec 11 last year and was scheduled to return to Malaysia on Dec 22.
Nor Azimah from Section 30, Shah Alam, Selangor is a single mother with one daughter.
