Mother, a real-life 'Wonder Woman'

No matter how great you are or how sophisticated the technology is, you will never be able to choose who your mother is.

Despite whoever your mother is, whether it is a like or otherwise, you cannot change the fact who the person is, that has given birth to you.

No matter what the situation is in a relationship -- whether she loves you or she has loved you less, or she has not accepted you in her life -- she is still your mother.

Undeniably, every person has a mother who resides in one’s heart, indeed a very special place.

One knows too that a mother is someone who is noble and respected by every member of the society.

Nevertheless, being magnanimous, mother does have her limits and constraints too.

For she too is a mortal creature, an ordinary human being.

A mother is not granted with super power even though it seems like she possesses it.

Despite it all, she has wars within herself, fighting them all by herself.

She alone understands the combat and she alone deals with the wars.

These wars are created and fought but ultimately, only she knows who the winner is; only she alone feels the real meaning of victory.

Not all mothers can provide a life of luxury for her children. Out there, some mothers cannot even afford to provide basic needs for their children.

Albeit the insufficiency and scarcity, a mother strives to provide the finest or superlative for her children with the best of her abilities.

In this demanding world of today, it is undeniable that a mother has placed high expectation on her children to excel, yet she can to some extent demand irrational ambition.

With the definition of success itself remains subjective, some mothers conclude to recognize the children's success when they get enrolled to a university, get good grades and acquire distinguished job after graduation.

However, some may only recognize the children's success when they triumphantly get enrolled in Ivy Leagues or top-notch universities in the world.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, there are mothers who feel so much gratitude if their children can have an access to education.

There are some mothers too from not-too-far away who are overwhelmed, if not contented, when they see their children having food to eat on that particular day due to famine and other related calamities.

Life is not rosy for every mother. At times, she is the best actor when it comes to concealing her weaknesses, tears and even the wars within herself.

Your mother, my mother or their mother are all the same. They have the purest heart and unconditional love for their children.

As long as they are not under the influence of any illicit substances and they are mentally sane, they will shower their children with fond love, care and empathy.

A mother is the backbone of the family. She wears different hats for different occasions, just to ensure that it fits the situation.

Surprisingly, when the time calls for it, she can switch the hats in nimble.

She knows just how to adjust, adapt and adopt herself accordingly when needed.

She is ever ready throughout her life to serve her children and the family. It is within her time she condones her role quietly and impactfully.

In recent times, however, the demand for a mother’s responsibility has become tremendously heavier and scarier, particularly during this current pandemic.

The matter at hand is dealing with the children and teenagers. Every mother with children at home, faces her main enemies namely the gadgets, plastics and dust.

She sets to control the usage of gadgets, plastics and to ensure the children get fresh air and clean environment.

Another daunting challenge is some mothers have fear over boarding schools, high sugar consumptions and strangers.

No matter what these fears are, her only intention is to protect the children from any harm.

A mother unceasingly prays for the best of her children. Ultimately, she is the only person who will not betray the children and will remain the cast that every one holds on to, that no one can take her place.
