Mother, son killed in LPT2 road accident
In the 1.15pm incident, Fatimah Al-Zahrah Zainol Abidin, 32, and Al Fateh Mohd Shahrulnizam died at the scene after suffering severe injuries.
A woman and her three-year-old son were killed when the car they were travelling in skidded at Kilometre 264 of the East Coast Highway 2 (LPT2) here yesterday.
In the 1.15pm incident, Fatimah Al-Zahrah Zainol Abidin, 32, and Al Fateh Mohd Shahrulnizam died at the scene after suffering severe injuries.
Terengganu Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department (JSPT) chief Abdul Razak Hassan said the woman's husband Mohd Shahrulnizam Alias, 32, suffered minor injuries, while another child, Al Faris, 6, fractured his left leg.
The couple and their two children were on their way to Damansara, Selangor, from Kuala Terengganu , when Mohd Shahrulnizam, who was driving a Proton Saga BLM, lost control of the vehicle before crashing into a road barrier, he said.
"The bodies were sent to Kemaman Hospital Forensic Unit for post-mortem while the injured were treated at the same hospital," he said when contacted by Bernama here.
