Motorcyclist killed in head-on collision

A motorcyclist was killed after the machine he was riding was involved in a head-on collision with a car at Jalan Bukit Gambir here on Tuesday night, police said.
North East District Police chief ACP Gan Kong Meng said on Wednesday, Ahmad Dasisham Mohamad Daud, 38, died on the spot in the accident which occurred at 9.30 pm at the intersection near Taman Pekaka.
The impact of the accident caused Ahmad Dasisham to smash onto the windscreen of the Toyota Vios car, driven by a woman, and fall on the left side of the road while the motorcycle was dragged for about 20 metres, he said.
The woman was slightly injured, he said.
Ahmad Dasisham's body was sent to the Penang Hospital, he added.
