MP assures Kampung Baru land owners of their rights

Kampung Baru land owners have been assured that their land will not be sold or seized by the government in efforts to develop the area.
Member of Parliament for Titiwangsa, Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani said the establishment of Kampong Baru Development Corporation (PKB) aimed to ensure that the Malays were not marginalised from the mainstream of development.
"Kampung Baru residents must get rid of negative perception that PKB wants to sell Malay land," he told Kampung Baru land owners at a dialogue session here, today.
Johari said the government did not exclude Kampung Baru from development and will continue to implement the development plan via the PKB.
The PKB announced the Kampung Baru Development Detailed Draft Master Plan (PITPKB) 2020 had been finalised with the approval of the land owners and beneficiaries.
Under the Kampung Baru Development Plan, the area will be developed based on the Malay Muslim concept.
