A member of parliament has proposed that a special committee be established to monitor and keep track of certain civil servants suspected of leaking government information.
Datuk Seri Hasan Malek (BN-Kuala Pilah) said with the formation of the committee, the social media, blogs and the daily activities of these civil servants could be kept under observation.
"Should they be found leaking government information, legal action must be taken immediately so that this practice can be curbed among the civil servants," he said.
He said this when debating the motion of thanks for the royal address in the Dewan Rakyat today.
