Muhyiddin arrives in Labuan for working visit

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin arrived here today for a one-day working visit to the Federal Territory of Labuan.

Muhyiddin, who was accompanied by his wife Puan Seri Norainee Abdul Rahman, landed at the Labuan Airport on a special flight at 9.45am.

He was welcomed by Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing Minister Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin, Labuan Member of Parliament Datuk Yusuf Mahal, federal government department heads and community leaders.

Upon arrival, Muhyiddin is scheduled to open the Labuan International Oil and Gas Expo 2012 at the Grand Dorsett Hotel and visit the expo at the Ujana Kewangan Convention Hall.

The deputy prime minister is then to attend an event with the people at the Bukit Kuda Civil Servants Housing Quarters Arena Hall before meeting with Labuan's civil servants at the Municipal Multipurpose Hall.

In the evening, Muhyiddin, who is also Barisan Nasional (BN) deputy chairman, is set to meet and brief Labuan Umno and BN leaders at the Labuan Industrial Training Institute before leaving for Kuala Lumpur.
