Muhyiddin confirms contacted by police to record statement
Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin along with Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal and Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah are alleged to have leaked government secrets when debating the 2017 Supply Bill at the Dewan Rakyat.
Pagoh Member of Parliament Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has confirmed that police have summoned him to record a statement regarding his alleged involvement in revealing government secrets in the Dewan Rakyat.
However, the former deputy prime minister said police had yet to fix a date.
"Police have called, the date has not been fixed yet...after negotiating, they said probably next week," he told reporters at Parliament lobby today.
Muhyiddin along with former Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal and former Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah are alleged to have leaked government secrets when debating the 2017 Supply Bill at the Dewan Rakyat.
Muhyiddin said that he was told that his statement would be recorded at Bukit Aman (Federal Police Headquarters).
Yesterday, Ahmad Husni arrived at Bukit Aman to have his statement recorded over the matter but was told that the session had been postponed to next week. -- BERNAMA
