Mukhriz Mahathir, the 'Momma's Boy'

The new Kedah Chief Minister Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir has a new nick name to his credit, labelling him as a 'Momma's Boy' by the social media ever since his swearing in ceremony. A video shared by the Election Watch Asia channel has been getting a lot of attention in the social media circle. Few things considered significant after his appointment as the Kedah CM was shared by Mukhriz’s mother, Tun Dr Siti Hasmah herself.

For Dr Siti Hasmah, one of the most significant event was the birth of Mukhriz. She added, Mukhriz was born on the same day when his father Tun Dr Mahathir had to go to Kuala Lumpur to attend the first Parliament session in 1964. During that time, Dr Mahathir was in a dilemma as it was the first Parliament seating and Dr Siti Hasmah was due to give birth. The fifth child of the most influential couple in Malaysia was born without the presence of Dr Mahathir; however Mukhriz inherited his father's leadership qualities. Perhaps this is the reason why during the general election, Dr Siti Hasmah picture with Mukhriz caught the attention of the public, untill he was nicknamed ‘Momma's Boy'.
