The multi-storey car park projects in 13 public housing areas in the capital city is expected to be ready by year end.
Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said this will come as relief to residents who face critical shortage of car park.
"The areas include Bandar Tun Razak in Cheras, Wangsa Maju and Segambut. The multi-storey car parks come complete with multi-purpose hall, futsal courts, hawker centres, stalls and prayer rooms," he told reporters after launching 'Kenduri 1Wilayah Persekutuan (Kenduri 1WP) Parlimen Kepong,' here today.
Earlier, Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Mhd Amin Nordin said the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) project costs RM408 million.
More than 3,000 people attended Kenduri 1WP, an initiative of the Federal Territories Ministry to foster racial harmony in Kepong constituency.
Among the activities were a colouring contest and a donation by the Kepong Hawkers Association to the elderly and the poor to mark the Chinese New Year. - BERNAMA
