Murder of DPP: Another suspect surrenders

A man surrendered to the police today, in connection with the murder of a high-profile deputy public prosecutor to facilitate investigations.
This brings the total number of people detained to shed light on the killing of Kevin Anthony Morais, to 11.
In a statement today, Kuala Lumpur CID chief, Datuk Zainuddin Ahmad said the 22-year-old suspect gave himself up at the Sentul police headquarters at 4.15pm.
"We will apply for a remand order for the suspect tomorrow," he said.
In a related development, Zainuddin said the remand order for six of the suspects which ended today, was extended until Sept 28.
Last Wednesday, the body of Morais, 55, who was the deputy chief of the Appellate and Trial Division in the Attorney-General’s Chambers, was found in a drum filled with concrete in Persiaran Subang Mewah, Subang Jaya.
He was reported missing on Sept 4 and was last seen leaving his condominium in Menara Duta here to go to his office in Putrajaya in a Proton Perdana bearing registration number WA6264Q.
