Musa hopes UMNO sports carnival will increase preparedness for GE14

Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman hopes that the UMNO Sports Carnival would strengthen the cooperation among its members and increase their preparedness to face the 14th general election (GE14).

Musa, who is also State UMNO Liaison Committee chairman, said the sportsmanship and determination to win at the carnival should be further nurtured and preserved for the survival of the party and its struggle.

"In addition, it will also promote UMNO and attract the people, especially youths, to come and join UMNO," he said when officiating the Sabah-level UMNO Sports Carnival here on Friday.

His speech text was read by Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun, who is also State UMNO Liaison Committee assistant secretary.

Also present were Sabah Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Tawfiq Abu Bakar Titingan and State UMNO Youth chief Yamani Hafez Musa.

The three-day carnival which kicked off today will also be held in Kuala Lumpur from May 8 to 10. - BERNAMA
