Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) will continue to monitor the situation and stay in touch with the Malaysian Embassy and Saudi Arabian government to ensure the safety aspects of pilgrims during the Haj pilgrimage this year.
TH said the measures were necessary after four Saudi security personnel were killed and five others wounded in a suicide bombing incident outside one of Islam's holiest sites, the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, yesterday.
Another suicide attack took place near a Shiite mosque in Qatif, in the kingdom's east.
TH in a statement said such incidents do not reflect the teachings of Islam.
"Information on the safety aspects would be briefed by TH to all pilgrims from Malaysia before they head to Makkah to perform the Haj," said TH.
The statement said all Muslims must unite and offer their support to the Saudi government to ensure such terror attacks do not recur.
"TH remains confident that the Saudi government will direct all agencies involved in security to increase surveillance and monitoring to overcome threats posed by terrorists.
TH said it is saddened by the attacks and that nobody should take advantage of the situation for their own benefit.
