With the price of a piece of roti canai or RM1, passengers can use all of Prasarana Malaysia Bhd's (Prasarana) public transport services unlimited for one day, said its chief operating officer, Muhammad Nizam Alias.
Under its latest initiative, the My30 unlimited travel card offers unlimited travel of RM30 for a 30-day period beginning on Monday.
Muhammad Nizam said the My30 package, which temporarily replaced the unlimited travel passes of My100 and My50, was part of the Government's initiative in regenerating the country's economy, greatly affected by the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic.
“Imagine for the price of a piece of roti canai or RM1, you can use the services of MRT, LRT, monorail, BRT and all Rapid KL buses in addition to the shuttle bus and feeder buses unlimited within one day using My30.
"It is truly a great savings for all Malaysians in the Klang Valley," he said when interviewed on RTM’s Selamat Pagi Malaysia programme this morning.
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin recently announced the My30 initiative which provides unlimited travel facilities using all the infrastructure services of Kumpulan Prasarana for only RM30 for a 30-day period.
According to a statement from Prasarana, the My30 package can be used for six months from June 15 to the end of December; thus temporarily replacing the My100 package, which is priced at RM100 for a 30-day unlimited trip.
Users can start signing up for the new My30 package starting June 15 at all 122 LRT, MRT, Monorail and BRT stations and 5 bus hubs at the Pasar Seni, Section 2, Shah Alam, Greenwood, Kajang Terminal and Sri Nilam by using MyKad and MyTentera respectively.
“The management of the Prasarana Group has always supported the government's aspiration to help ease the burden of the people. In this difficult situation, we hope that our users can take advantage of the My30 product as well as continue to use the Rapid KL service network.
"Immediately following the end of the My30 promotion, the My100 and My50 packages will be on sale again from January 1, 2021," said Muhammad Nizam.
